Hot air balloons are the star of this gorgeous shower. It's a theme that started with a balloon infused nursery and carried right on through to an Up, Up and Away party. Crafted by Gold Leaf Event Design & Production with images by Melissa Jill Photography, pore through the VAULT for even more including the cutest succulent place cards we've ever laid eyes on.
Danielle's recently renovated nursery was used as inspiration for her hot air balloon themed shower, hosted by friends at her and her husband's home in Scottsdale. Gold Leaf Event Design & Production used soft pink, teal, mauve and yellow (mommy to be's favorite color) throughout floral and decor elements.
Prior to guest's arrival everyone received the ultimate baby shower invitation; a wooden garden planter, accompanied by packets of Sweet Pea, representing new life and growth in addition to macaroons with a raspberry filling. In a much smaller box guests were directed to crack a hallowed out egg revealing Danielle is having a girl!
Handmade paper invitations with gold ink listed all shower related information, and everything was wrapped beautifully in cheesecloth, tied together with silk ribbon and laser cut wooden tags individualized with each guest's name by Paper Birch Designs.
As guests arrived they were greeted by Local Bistro's friendly catering staff, and an option of sparkling or flat fresh fruit infused water, white wine, or Rosè along with a spread of delicious eats, while they listened to the very talented, Arizona-native Sydney Sprague play guitar and sing all of Danielle and her friend's favorite tunes. Laser cut hot air balloon "place cards" accompanied mauve succulents, complimenting the desert's atmosphere perfectly.
Later the women enjoyed a plated, full service lunch including steak salad, truffle mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, grape leafs and hummus... Oh and we must not forget the chocolate and salted caramel cake with vanilla icing for dessert. What a beautiful way to celebrate a new life coming into the world, and to top it all off, it was Mother's Day!
